Non Invasive Tests
We offer a comprehensive range of non-invasive cardiac tests to help evaluate your heart rhythm, structure, blood flow, and cardiovascular risk — safely, quickly, and without surgery.
Heart Rhythm & Electrical Tests
These tests help detect irregular heartbeats, conduction problems, or electrical abnormalities that may not show up in a routine check.
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
Records the heart’s electrical activity at rest to detect rhythm or structural abnormalities.
Signal Averaged ECG (SAECG)
A specialised ECG that averages multiple signals to uncover subtle electrical changes linked to arrhythmias.
Ambulatory Heart Telemetry Monitor
A portable, continuous ECG monitor worn over several days to capture intermittent palpitations or irregular heartbeats.
Transesophageal Echo (TEE)
Although an imaging test, it can provide detailed views of heart structures via the oesophagus when more information is needed.
Blood Pressure & Vascular Assessment
These tests assess circulation, blood pressure control, and early vascular disease — useful for patients with diabetes, high blood pressure, or stroke risk.
24-Hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring
Monitors your blood pressure continuously for 24 hours during normal daily activities to give a more accurate picture than a single clinic reading.
Ankle Brachial Pulse Wave Velocity / Pressure Index
Compares blood flow in the arms and legs to detect peripheral arterial disease and evaluate arterial stiffness.
Carotid Intima Media Thickness (CIMT)
An ultrasound of the neck arteries to measure wall thickness and detect early atherosclerosis — a marker of future heart attack or stroke risk.
Echocardiography & Heart Structure
Ultrasound-based tests to assess the pumping function of the heart, valve problems, and structural conditions.
Transthoracic Echocardiogram (2D Echo)
Standard ultrasound of the heart to assess chambers, valves, major vessels, and overall heart function.
Exercise / Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram
Assesses how the heart performs under stress (exercise or medication) to detect significant coronary artery disease.
Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
Provides clearer images of valves and certain heart structures by placing the probe in the oesophagus.
Cardiac Resynchronisation Study
Evaluates whether patients with weakened heart function may benefit from resynchronisation therapy.
Exercise Symptom Evaluation
Exercise Treadmill Test
Monitors ECG, heart rate, and blood pressure while you walk on a treadmill to detect reduced blood flow to the heart.
Tilt Table Test
Assesses blood pressure and heart rate changes when the body is tilted upright — often used for unexplained fainting (syncope).
Schedule a Heart Health Check
Monitors ECG, heart rate, and blood pressure while you walk on a treadmill to detect reduced blood flow to the heart.
Unsure which test you need?
Share your symptoms with us and our cardiology team will recommend the most suitable non-invasive test.
Common reasons for testing
- Chest pain / tightness
- Irregular heartbeat / palpitations
- Fainting or giddiness
- Breathlessness on exertion
- Pre-operative / pre-procedure cardiac screening
